By Baptism, Chrismation and Confession of Orthodox Faith
Protection Parish is blessed by the arrival of several new families since Fr. John's arrival. Here we see a family enrolled as catechumens, then being Chrismated on Holy Saturday; an infant is baptized appropriately at Theophany, and a Coptic Orthodox family joining us by rite of Confession of Orthodox Faith. God grant them many years!

Feast of the Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos 2009 - 10/01/09
We were overjoyed to have Father Justin Patterson of St.
Athanasius OCA parish in Nicholasville, Kentucky with us to concelebrate the Liturgy.
Fr. Justin was instrumental in the previous evening's celebration of the Festal
Vigil. He told Fr. John that he was impressed by our choir's ability to sing the
many special melodies which are particular to the feast of the Protection in our
tradition. May God bless Fr. Justin and the catechumen John who favored us by
driving much of the 250 miles from central Kentucky to visit us on our feast
day.
